Highlights
Roomtones may not be the most exciting ambiences, but they so much set the stage and, in particular, the mood of a scene. Check out the roomtones with aggressive wind outside and creaking woodwork, and imagine the difference in the mood of the listener they make compared to the roomtones with summer birds singing through the open windows.
And, of course, there’s the background sounds of familiar home appliances like refrigerators, coffee machines – and a grandfather clock for that visit at Granny’s!
About the package
This is a themed Add-on package intended to either upgrade the Mini to Full, or stand alone as a smaller version of the Static Domestic 1 package. Some of the ambience files are also found in a Starter package, so if you already purchased that, use your earned discount points to get a discount on this one. Points are accumulated in your account, if you created one.
About the content
This is domestic roomtones galore! Add one to your project, and the inherent realism of 3rd order Ambisonic 3D recordings puts the listener right in the room. Remember to keep the level realistically low; roomtones are really meant to be sensed rather than heard.
The 30, highly realistic ambiences of Static Domestic 1 Add-on are ready to serve as the canvas of your production. You can add narration, dialogue and action on top of these backgrounds – or use them on their own to put the listener in the right mood for what’s coming next.
What you get in this collection are scenes, not individual sound effects. However, some recordings (especially less dense scenes) contain single sounds that may be isolated and used on their own.
